Educators are doing all they can to discover how to transform education. Little by little, by fits and starts, they are uncovering the authentic characteristics of the universal child, identifying his needs, and designing an educational process for responding to them. Educators are closing in on a better plan. They are still excavating far off from the vein of gold, the understanding that the child is a self-developing, self-educating being and that anything we “do to him” disrupts his dynamic natural process of “doing for himself.” What can we do to help them learn to help the child “Do it by/for myself”?
